Since start of business in July 2007, Miguel De Freitas and I decided to not only put a business plan in pace but to also put a people plan in place.
Our Mission Statement is quite simply, ‘To treat people personally and professionally in the same manner as we at De Freitas & Ryan would like to be treated ourselves.’
This simple statement together with our adopted Rotary International Four Way Test has formed the foundation philosophy of all our business and relationship dealings.
The Four Way test is:
- Is it the truth?
- Is it fair to all concerned?
- Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
- Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Obviously we ventured into business to profit from our efforts however, we also ventured into business to build a very special company for our staff as well as ourselves.
We have already put in place a profit sharing structure within our company and this is an initiative we believe will set us apart from our competitors going forward.
Negativity is not tolerated within our company and the old saying of; ‘Friction slows you down’ is very much a part of the positive attitude at De Freitas & Ryan.
Corporate citizenship is most important to us and this is why we have formed an association with the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation and it is this association that results in funds being directed to ‘the kids’ from every property our company sells or leases.
We do not employ people who are not ethical, driven, keen, enthusiastic, passionate about what they are doing, not team players and who will not abide by our philosophies as previously stated.
Life is too short to be associated with people who are all going in different directions and we make no apologies for our focus on building our business and our people.
The fact that our business has a broad base in that, ‘We Sell, Lease and Manage Residential, Commercial and Strata Property and we also sell Business’ is beneficial to our clients as we are able to offer a full Real Estate service.
Our intention at all times is to maximise the results for our clients which will in turn benefit our company via recommendation and referral which we all recognize as the best indicator of our performance. Hopefully our growing number of testimonies will reflect this.
